We Make Recycling Easy in Fairfield

At Big Little Sanitation Company, we're committed to doing our part in supporting the environment. One of the ways we do that is by providing convenient recycling pick-up services to our customers in Fairfield, CT. Read on to learn more.

Single-Stream Recycling Info

Fairfield has started collecting recycling single-stream. This means that all recyclables should be placed in one container and comingled; there is no need to separate paper.

Recycling pick-up is scheduled for the same day as your household trash pick-up. Recycling materials will be collected from the blue bin, PINK cart, blue recycling cart, or other clearly marked containers (30 gallons max) at the curbside only unless special arrangements have been made.

What Your Recycling Should Include

• Tin and aluminum food and beverage cans
• Glass bottles and jars with lids removed
• Newspapers, magazines, junk mail, office paper, and mixed paper
• Cardboard - boxes should be empty of all plastic or polystyrene packing and should be flattened
• Fiberboard - cereal boxes, cracker boxes, frozen food boxes, etc.
• Aseptic packaging - milk cartons, orange juice cartons
• Plastics #1 through #6 - include plastic food and beverage containers only. Do not include five-gallon pails or containers other than those marked with these logos.
